As a Data Scientist you work on different data science and machine learning challenges, for example forecasting our demand, improving our last mile delivery, or generating better recommendations for our customers. As a Data Scientist you are responsible for many different analyses from both operational and customer perspective. As part of our Analytics team, you will work in an extremely data-rich environment in collaboration with managers from different teams including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Warehouse Operations, Product, Growth and Assortment.
You structure, analyse, and model data to translate it into insights. You look for new opportunities for growth, analyse the impact of such initiatives and make that information widely available where necessary. You support colleagues to work more data-driven.
You work on machine learning challenges, such as our demand forecasting model and tools to integrate them in our processes. In doing so, you’ll experiment with using new data and algorithms to improve forecast accuracy. After your experiments, you’ll release new version of your predictive models to production. Our data stack includes BigQuery, PostgreSQL, dbt, Polars, Airflow and Kubernetes, but we’re always open to adopting new technologies.

You have at least 5 years of professional experience as a data scientist, ideally in an (online) retail or e-commerce environment.
You have a master’s degree in a STEM (bèta) field.
You have technical expertise in the field of Machine Learning.
You’re an expert in statistical analyses and data science techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression and classification.
Your mindset is one of growth, learning and possibility.
You’re a good communicator. You are able to explain your models in clear language to business stakeholders from different disciplines.
You're fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
